Mr. Pettit concentrates his practice in the areas of individual and business bankruptcy, business reorganization and re-structuring, foreclosures, receiverships, landlord-tenant disputes, collections, and commercial litigation.

He has authored numerous legal publications including Hawai‘i Collection and Bankruptcy Law Manual (4th ed. 2013, 5th ed. forthcoming) and Foreclosure & Related Remedies, Hawai‘i Chapter (2011, American Bar Association).

Mr. Pettit advises and represents lenders, debtors, landlords and tenants, secured creditors, creditor committees, receivers, trustees and liquidating trusts in a variety of industries. Mr. Pettit has extensive experience in large bankruptcy cases, consumer and business bankruptcy, chapter 11 reorganization, cross-border insolvency matters, receiverships and judicial foreclosure proceedings.
